The Plymouth Lions Foundation
The following LOCAL PROJECTS are supported by the Plymouth Lions Foundation.
- A free white cane provided to all visually impaired individuals
- Construction of access ramps for disabled citizens
- Four-year college scholarships for local community high school seniors
- Collection and recycling of used eyeglasses and hearing aids
- Sponsor the Quest substance abuse program in the Plymouth community middle schools
- Purchase materials and equipment used the Plymouth District Library by the visually impaired
- Donate and maintain the playground equipment, tables and shelter in the City of Plymouth’s Lions Park on Burroughs Street, east of Main Street
- Purchase and distribute CCTV readers for the visually impaired
- Provide scholarships for local community children attending summer camps
- Support the Plymouth Community Band
- Sponsor Plymouth Boy Scout Troup #1536(P-6)
- Design and build picnic tables for the Plymouth Township Park
- Major contributor to Kellogg Park, including The Gathering, benches, flag pole and restrooms for the public
